The rare 1958-59 Tung-Sol 6550 power tubes in this precisely matched pair have welded black plates with no holes, metal collar bases (some corrosion), and the distinctive coke bottle shape. The white print on the bases has the Tung-Sol logo. One tube has a repaired guide pin.
Flashing shows signs of use but both tubes test strong at typical operating
voltages on a laboratory grade Amplitrex AT1000. They are matched for both current draw (47.8 mA & 49.4 mA) and transconductance (96% Gm & 93% Gm) at 500VDC. They have
been screened for shorts and excessive leakage, gas, and noise /
